LOGANSPORT — Goldie Louise (Gust) Russell, 77, died at 1:10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at her home after an extended illness.

Born March 3, 1934, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Harold and Martha (Wray) Gust. She married Dale W. Russell on July 15, 1950, in Logansport, and he survives.

Mrs. Russell attended school at Logansport High School. She was a homemaker and formerly attended First Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting dolls and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters, Pamela Mills of Delphi, Debra (husband Bob) Laughner of Frankfort, Rebecca Cookerly of Indianapolis and Cynthia Rutledge (husband John) Hojara of Frankfort; sister, Maria Southerton of rural Rochester; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Wortman.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association.
