Kenton B. ‘Grandpa Fred’ Garrison

Kenton B. ‘Grandpa Fred’ Garrison, 75, Logansport, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, in Chase Center.

Born on June 12, 1937, he was the son of Harley and Hallie Garrison.

On June 14, 1974, in Logansport, he was married to Mikel Jordan, who preceded him in death on May 29, 2011.

Kenton retired in 1995 from White Rodgers as a press operator. He loved animals and fishing, and enjoyed collecting knives, fishing poles and tackle, and sitting outside.

He is survived by daughters, Debra Ashcraft and Deborah (John) Hiatt, all of Logansport, and Janice Woodward, Lafayette; eight grandchildren, Serena (Phanonzell) Kendell, Aaron (fiancé, Melissa) Ashcraft, Sarah Leverett (fiancé Doug Joseph), Stephanie Hunt (fiancé Rocky Buffum), John (fiancé Sarah Carneke) Hiatt, Bobby Jo Knight, Billy Jo (Shane) Cripe, and Frank Woodward; 11 grandchildren, Dietrick, Keyton, Akeelak, Lena, Ethan, Alesha, Brook, Kelsey, Izaak, Emily, and Ryan; nephew, Jack Garrison, Logansport; step grandchildren, Phanzell and Herrall.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by son-in-law, Dennis Ashcraft, brother, Ralph Garrison, and nephew, Ralphie Garrison.

There will be no services or visitation.

Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.
