Marie T. Walters

— Marie T. Walters, 88, Logansport, passed away at 3:25 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at WoodBridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born Aug. 29, 1924, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late August and Estherina Passereni Bisacchi.

On June 6, 1959, Marie was married to Richard H. Walters, and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2009.

She was a homemaker and member of All Saints Catholic Church, American Legion 60, and a lifetime member of the Cass County Historical Society.

Marie loved her flower garden, antiques, dining out and playing cards. She especially loved going “bye bye” whenever the opportunity presented itself. One of her favorite songs sung to her by her husband was “On The Road Again.”

Survivors include her son, Jim Albrecht, of Logansport; a stepdaughter, Vicki Berkshire and husband, Paul, of Burnettsville; grandson, Lucas Albrecht, California; stepgrandsons, David and Mike Berkshire; six stepgreat-grandchildren; brothers, Anthony Puzzella, Logansport, and Jim Puzzella, of Royal Center; sisters-in-law, Betty Mullet, Patricia Floyd and Karen Miller, all of Logansport; and brother-in-law, Tom Walters, of Germany. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; sister, Olga Guerra; brothers, Eddy and Yato Bisacchi and John Puzzella; sister-in-law, Betty Puzzella; and daughter-in-law Kathy Stepp Albrecht.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Dominic Petan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel where there will be a Scripture dervice at 6 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church, the Cass County Historical Society, or the American Cancer Society.
