LOGANSPORT —
Grace Marie Troutman Jordan, 94, Logansport, passed away at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, in Chase Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on Dec. 1, 1917, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Arthur E. and Harriet English Troutman.
On Aug. 29, 1947, she was married to Charles E. Jordan, who
preceded her in death in March 1979.
Grace had been employed at the Logansport High School cafeteria for 10 years. She enjoyed her time at Chase Center playing the role of “Mother Goose” and reading stories to children, as well as making crafts and crocheting. She also liked doing word search and crossword puzzles, and reading. She was a member of Spring Creek Christian Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Jo Morter and her husband, Robert E., Logansport; grandchildren, Brandon C. Morter and Jenelle M. Morter; special niece, Marilyn Ann Troutman Ray; sister-in-law, Clara Alice Troutman; and numerous nieces, nephews and their children.
Preceding her in death were brothers, George E. and Harold A.
Troutman; sisters, Mary S. Shaw and Dorothy I. Troutman; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Seward Troutman; and nephew, Don L. Shaw.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Kroeger Funeral Home.
Private interment in Grand View Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif.,
will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to assist
the family.
