Ivan R. Weaver, 83, Logansport, passed Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Rosewalk Village in Lafayette.
Born Oct. 16, 1929, in White County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Alfonzo and Alma Peters Weaver. He was married May 13, 1950, in Cass County, to Rhea Roller Weaver, who preceded him in death Oct. 19, 2006.
Ivan was a member of Shiloh Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, pitching horseshoes and playing euchre.
He retired after many years working as a semi-driver.
Surviving are son, Kenneth Weaver, Logansport; three daughters, Ruth (Ron) Rechkemmer, West Lafayette, Ruby (Phillip) Hall, Logansport, and Regina (Lynn) Cosgray, Idaville; grandchildren, Casey Langston, Rachel (Rod) Hainje, Angie (Erik) Halvorson, Emily (Wes) Anderson, Lindsay Peterson, Kit (Stacie) Weaver, Kelsey Weaver, Morgan Cosgray, Kayla Erickson, Ryan Hall, Angie Hall, Chad Cosgray and Nick Cosgray; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Rita Weaver and Rhonda Smith; one brother and three sisters.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dirk Raderstorf officiating. Interment will follow in the Bell Center Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Monday in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
Contributions may be made to COTA (Children’s Organ Transplant Association) for Morgan Cosgray through the State Bank of Burnettsville. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral chapel.
