LOGANSPORT —
Roberta M. “Bertie” Crane, 76, of Logansport, passed away at 6:58 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Oct. 15, 1936, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Phreno and Carrie Shook Mathis. On May 25, 1955, she married Bobby G. Crane, who survives.
She was a 1954 graduate of Bunker Hill High School.
Bertie was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, fishing and playing games.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby G. Crane; her children, Karla Gebhardt (Steve), Kathryn Shedron, Steven A. Crane (Florrie) and James Crane (Brandi), all of Logansport; brother, Robert Mathis (Mary), of Goshen; and sisters, Mary Ann Crites, of Kokomo, and Hazel Gilliland, of Plymouth. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by daughter, Kelly Pearson; sister, Louise Hughes; and brothers, Wilbur and Freeman Mathis.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tom DeFries officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
