D. Arlyn Wilson, 84, Marion, died at 10:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, in the Sterling House. She was born in Logansport to the late James and Ruth (Aman) Ide. Arlyn married Homer C. Wilson on Aug. 3, 1952. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1997.
Arlyn was a homemaker and formerly worked at Walgreens in Logansport. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Esther Circle, the J.O.Y. Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the PEO Sisterhood, the Monday Conversation Club and a longtime member of the YWCA. Arlyn and her husband were avid square dancers.
Survivors include a daughter Diane E. (Don) Crouch, Norcross, Ga., son David James (Karen) Wilson, Plainfield, Ill., grandchildren, Nicholas Wilson and Noah Wilson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Arlyn was preceded in death by her brother, James R. Ide.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Monday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, with the Rev. Tom Ream officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport. A committal service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday with Pastor Bill Bergstrom officiating.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
