Alvin L. “Junior” Fry

KEWANNA — Alvin L. “Junior” Fry, 69, Kewanna, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, Logansport.

Born Aug. 28, 1943, in Cass County, he was the son of the late Alvin L. Fry Sr. and Willmira DeWitt. On Aug. 24, 1967, in Logansport he married Sandra Lee Rance who preceded in death on April 30, 2009.

Alvin was a retired shop foreman. He was a Vietnam Marine Veteran who received three Purple Hearts.

Surviving Alvin is one daughter, Janey (Jesus) Gonzalez, Royal Center, two sons, Johnny (Diana) Fry, and Alvin L. (Kim) Fry III, both of Kewanna, mother-in-law, Janie Eileen Rance, Logansport, 10 grandchildren, Sherry Ensley, Frost Clements, Alvin Fry IV, Johnathon Fry Jr., Crystal Fry, Courtney Fry, JJ Gonzalez, Jessie Gonzalez, Venessa Estrada and Jennifer Franco, seven great-grandchildren, Riki Clements, Stephanie Ensley, Carah Ensley, Diane Fry, Maddalie Franco, Nayellie Estrada, and Russel Estrada, four sisters, Nada Rouch, Bonnie Hile, both of Logansport, Joyce (Phil) Rentschler, Nyona Lake, Juanita (Frank) Hines, Logansport, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Fry, one granddaughter, Stephanie Wagner, and one sister, Linda Kay Cannon.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crooked Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital or to the Stephanie Wagner Scholarship Fund.
