Doris Jean Dishon


GAVLESTON — Private family services for Doris Jean Dishon, 77, Walton, will be held Monday at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport.

She died at 1:18 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, in her home in Walton.

Born March 3, 1932, in Logansport, she was the daughter of W. Chester and Lola (Berlet) Campbell. She was married on Aug. 4, 1950, to Kenneth K. Dishon, who preceded in death in 1996.

Doris was a homemaker and she loved spending time with her family, friends and her cat, Sophie.

Survivors include her son, Jerry and Joan Dishon, Kokomo; daughters, Penny Lewis, Logansport, Dorothy and Pat McCann, Logansport; son, Henry Dishon, Walton; daughters, Sally and Terry Townsend, Peru, and Cathy Dishon, Logansport; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Her parents; one son, Kelly Dishon; one brother, William Campbell; one nephew, Jonathan Campbell; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Roush, also preceded in death.

Chaplin Scott Ellison will officiate.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Logansport.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made to help with funeral expenses.

Murray Weaver Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
