LOGANSPORT —
Allen R. McKaig, 87, Logansport, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Woodbridge Health Campus.
Born Feb. 20, 1925, he was the son of the late Roy and Ruth McMillen McKaig.
On May 19, 1946, in Logansport at the St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Allen married Mary Katherine Reed, who preceded him in death on April 5, 2009.
Allen retired as the co-owner of McKaig L.P. Gas and was also a former dairy farmer.
He was the member of Webb Chapel United Methodist Church and was a United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II.
Surviving is one son, Pastor Tim (Annetta) McKaig, Logansport; one daughter, Christina Sinclair, Avon; four grandchildren, Scott (Amanda) Sinclair, Chad Sinclair, Jennifer McKaig & fiancé Troy Barenie, and Katelyn (Matthew) Holcomb; and several nieces and nephews.
Allen was preceded in death by one brother, Edward E. McKaig, one sister, Marian McKaig Moller, and one son-in-law, Jay Sinclair.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Shiloh Christian Church with burial in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Monday at the church.
