ST. CLOUD, Fla. —
Kenneth LeRoy Mohler, 86, St. Cloud, Fla., formerly Galveston, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the home of his daughter in Florida.
He was born Oct. 14, 1926, in Plymouth, to Clarence Ervin Mohler and Sarah Florence (Miller) Mohler. He married Mary Jo (McConnell) Mohler, who preceded him in death Sept. 15, 2005, on Oct. 15, 1944, in Crawfordsville.
He was a farmer all of his life in Miami and Cass counties.
He was a member of Young America Baptist Church and a Board of Directors member for the Walton Elevator.
He was a merchant marine.
Survivors include daughter, Jenny and Rev. Steve Bate, St. Cloud, Fla.; grandson, Lance Edward Manning and wife Shannon, Greenwood; granddaughter, Lynn Suzette Butts and husband Lee, St. Cloud, Fla.; step-grandsons, Seth Stephen Bate and wife Jenny, Winfield, Kan., Joshua Edward Bate, Seattle, Wash., Aaron John Bate, Colorado Springs, Colo.; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary Jo.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home Galveston Chapel with the Rev. Steve Bate and the Rev. Marty Purcel officiating. Burial will be at Galveston Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home, Galveston.
