James Audrey Walker

James Audrey Walker, 71, Marion, died at 6:47 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013.

He was born in Nashville, Tenn., to the late Marion and Mary (Fenton) Walker. He married Joyce (Tylor) Wilson on Sept. 19, 1992. She survives.

He retired from Active Products where he worked as a supervisor. Aside from doing odd jobs in construction, he enjoyed fishing, woodcrafts, gardening and being outdoors.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, Indiana with the Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Graveside services will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora, Ind., immediately following. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife Joyce Walker, Marion; sons Scott Allen (Kim) Walker, Jeffrey Dean Walker, Michael Stephen (Staci) Walker, Ben Jeffrey Wilson, Eric Martin Wilson, Bryan Jay Wilson, Erin Matthew (Shelby) Wilson, Stanley Douglas Wilson and Taylor Young (Meadow) Wilson; mother, Mary E. Walker, Lafayette, Ind.; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother; four sisters; nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Steve (Shari) McLain, Jim Haggard, Shan Bailey and John Purvis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Audrey Walker. Memorial contributions may be directed to the donor’s choice.
