Lois Irene Moss

Lois Irene Moss, 84, Logansport, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born March 7, 1925, in Bethlehem Township, Cass County, she was the daughter of John Vern and Edith Marie Arthurholtz Somsel. On June 12, 1949, in Cass County, she was married to Robert L. Moss, who preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1998.

Before retiring, Lois had worked at Chase Center for many years.

Lois was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and going to church. Family was important to her, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are four sons, DeWayne Moss, David Moss, Dennis and Darryl Moss, all of Logansport; one daughter, Judi (Steve) Cross, Kentucky; two brothers, William L. (Clara) Somsel and James (Sylvia) Somsel, all of Logansport; one sister, Betty Parrott, of Seymor; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Moss, and one infant brother.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport, where services will be at 11 a.m. with Pastor Hanson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
