Hildegarde Ann Winn


Hildegarde Ann Winn, 86, Camden, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, in Chase Convalescent Center.

Born Feb. 19, 1923, in Ettmannsdorf, Germany, she was the daughter of George and Anna Pellert Pollinger. From Germany, she moved to Connecticut in 1927, where she met and married Joseph John Phillips on Dec. 31, 1942. In 1991, following the death of her husband, she moved to Camden. She was married at the age of 71 on Sept. 3, 1993, in Delphi, to Otis J. Winn, who survives.

A homemaker, Mrs. Winn was a proud member of the Deer Creek Quilters Club and the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.

Also surviving are her children, Alexander (Eileen) Phillips, of Bar Harbor, Maine, Laraine (Douglas) MacLauchlan, of Flora, Edward (Evelyn) Phillips, of Thomaston, Conn., and Joseph (Rebecca) Phillips, of Camden; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Family services will be private. Fisher Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with her arrangements.
