Florence E. Frushour Sutton

WINAMAC — Florence E. Frushour Sutton, 97, Winamac, died at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, in the Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac.

Born Feb. 1, 1912, in Logansport, she was the daughter of George A. Frushour and Myrtle Copeland Frushour. On Feb. 15, 1933, in Lucerne, she married Harold Elmo Sutton, who preceded her in death Feb. 6, 1995.

Florence was a long-time employee and former co-owner of the Fernbaugh Jewelry Store in Logansport.

She attended Metea High School in Logansport. Florence was a member of the Star City United Methodist Church, Van Buren Home-Ec Club, Women's Club of Stuart, Fla., the Star City Book Club and the Treasure Coast Coin Club in Fort Pierce, Fla. Florence was an avid card player.

She is survived by grandsons Doug and wife Dana Sutton, Bloomington, Ill. and James H. and wife Karrie Sutton, Star City; daughter-in-law Sybil Craigmile Sutton, Monterey; four great-grandchildren, Daniel Sutton, Dustin Sutton, Reis Sutton and Olivia Sutton; and sisters Ruth Alber, Jensen Beach, Fla. and Nellie Dotterer, Bradenton, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, H. Arthur Sutton, and two brothers, Herbert Frushour and Donald Frushour.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Frain Mortuary, Winamac, with visitation 11 a.m.

Burial will take place in the Star City West Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pulaski Health Care Center.
