LOGANSPORT —
Marie Stroup, 101, of Logansport, passed away at 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, in Chase Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Logansport.
She was born April 13, 1911, in Star City, to the late Henry and Myrtle Croutcher Sommerfeldt.
An excellent seamstress, Marie was retired from the H.W. Gossard Company. She was a member of Church of Christ at Logansport.
Surviving are two dear friends, Alberta Hoch and Betsy Stephens, both of Logansport; her neighbors, Phil Hildebran, and Mark and Gail Bender; and her church family, who she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Sommerfeldt. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Jeff Strite officiating. Interment will follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Star City.
