WINAMAC —
Priscilla “Pauline” Briney, 87, Winamac, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Pulaski Health Care Center.
She was born April 16, 1925, in Walnut, the daughter of the late Alex and Virginia O’Dell Parman. On June 4, 1942, she married Cecil Raymond Briney, in Rochester, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1987.
Pauline formerly worked at Kewanna Metal Specialties.
She was a member of Winamac Church of Nazarene and Sharon Pilgrim Holiness Church.
Pauline enjoyed knitting, quilting and spending time with family and friends. She was a natural caregiver and enjoyed caring for older folks. Pauline was also active in her Bible study group.
Survivors include sons, Raymond Lee Briney and wife, Karen, Warsaw, John W. Briney and wife, Jackie, Kewanna, James A.
Briney and wife, Kathy, Rochester, David J. Briney and wife, Celinda, Winamac, and Roy E. Briney, Kewanna; daughter, Ruth Ann Nicholson and husband, Jack, Martinsville; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by 13 siblings.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel, with Harold Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pulaski Health Care Center and/or Winamac Church of the Nazarene.
