Paul Biederwolf

DELPHI — Paul Biederwolf, 76, of rural Delphi, passed quietly at his home at 6:15 a.m. Saturday Oct. 20, 2012.

He was born Feb. 29, 1936 in Logansport to George Biederwolf and Emma Rita Gilbert Biederwolf. He graduated from Monticello High School in 1954 and attended Purdue University. He served in the U.S. Air Force from March 1957 to April 1960.

He married Nancy Jo Snipes on Dec. 27, 1963 at the Burrows Presbyterian Church, and she survives.

He was an Insurance adjuster for the Hartford Insurance Group, and for B.L. Fisher Associates, and then served as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service out of Delphi, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Burrows Presbyterian Church, Helen Bonebrak Chapter of Eastern Star at Rossville, past master of Mount Zion Lodge 211 F&AM at Camden, member of Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine and American Legion Post 413 at Camden.

Paul enjoyed mushroom hunting in Michigan and watching Purdue sports

Surviving with his wife is one daughter, Anne (Mrs. John) King of Rochester, and one granddaughter, Abigail King.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cree Funeral Home, Camden, with Pastor Ed Selvidge, Pastor Sally Gilbert and Pastor Katie Lancaster officiating. Burial with military graveside rites by the Camden and Delphi American Legion and the Delphi VFW will follow services at the Camden Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with Masonic rites at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Burrows Presbyterian Church or the Camden American Legion.
