GALVESTON —
Mary Jo Walker, 86, Galveston, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Caring Hands Healthcare Center, Peru.
She was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Howard County to Herman and Orean (Walker) Amos. She married Harry Walker Jr., who survives, Feb. 14, 1947, in Galveston.
Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren.
Survivors include husband, Harry Walker Jr., Galveston, son, Jerry and Donna Walker, Galveston, daughter, Jill and Alvin Mennen, Walton, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and sister, Betty Davis, Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Galveston Cemetery, Galveston, with the Reverend Roy Ice officiating. Burial will be at Galveston Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home, Galveston
Memorial contributions may be given to Parkinson’s Disease or the Teddy Bear Fund for Hope Hospice.
