ELKHART —
Michael D. Truman, 61, Elkhart, passed away at 1:02 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 21, 1951, in Chicago Heights, Ill., to the late Marion and Florence (Holt) Truman.
On June 27, 1970, in Hamlet, Ind., he married Deborah S. Keen.
She survives along with four children, Michelle Strode, Mishawaka, Charlotte Jeffries, Elkhart, Sheila (Robert) Hoemig, Goshen, Michael (Robin) Truman, Jr., Elkhart, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a step sister, Diane, Bremen, two stepbrothers, Larry Truman, Portage, and Joe Steele, Logansport.
Mike enjoyed going to McDonalds, spending time with his family and friends and listening to music. He worked as truck driver and a security guard at Starcraft.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. At 3 p.m. a procession will form at the funeral home to process to Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen, where a graveside service will take place. Pastor Carl Henry from Northside Baptist Church will be presiding.
