Carol Sue Beckley

LOGANSPORT — Carol Sue Beckley, 63, of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, from injuries she received in a recent fall.

Born May 10, 1949, in Grass Creek, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and LaNita Nickleson Scales. She was married Nov. 4, 1966, in Logansport, to Robert Mike “Bob” Beckley, who survives.

Carol was a stay-at-home mom and grandma who was very devoted to her family She had enjoyed her job as the work bus driver for Woodlawn/Peak Community in years past. Carol especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Carol enjoyed camping and relaxing in their lake home on Hill Lake.

Surviving with her husband are three sons, Michael (wife Lorenie) Beckley of Lucerne, James Beckley of Logansport and Mark (wife Candi) Beckley of Royal Center; one brother, Bill Scales of Logansport; and four grandchildren, Justin Beckley, Austin “A.J.” Beckley, Jonathan Beckley and Ashley Beckley.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Lantz, and one brother, Donald Scales.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Fisher Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Ryan Lewellen officiating. Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery, near Burnettsville.

Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service on Monday in the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
