Hazel M. Wakeman, 79, of Logansport passed away at 10:25 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 in Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 2, 1930 in Burnettsville, she was the daughter of George and Pearl Harper Bending. She was married Dec. 24, 1952, in Logansport, to Harold William Wakeman. He preceded her in death.
Hazel was retired from RBM where she had worked as an assembler for several years.
Surviving are three daughters, Rebecca Riley of Logansport, Debra (Allen) Minter of Logansport and Patricia (Denzil) Ward of Kokomo; seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Katina) Byrd, Diana (Brad) Adkins, Marie (Troy) Harden, Shawn Jordan, Jonathon Burns, Chris Ward and Chrystal Nichols; three step-grandsons; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
