Nornetta M. Arven

LOGANSPORT — Nornetta M. Arven, 86, of Logansport, formerly of the Fulton area, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, in the WoodBridge Health Campus, surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 25, 1926, in Fulton County, to Floyd and Ethel Culliton McKenzie.

In February 1946, in Logansport, she married Bob Rouch who preceded in death on March 15, 1986, and on June 30, 2001, in West Etna, she married Dean Arven, who preceded in death on Jan. 12, 2011.

Nornetta retired from Hart Schaffer & Marx in Rochester, where she had worked for 36 years.

She was a member of the Fulton Baptist Temple and a graduate of Fulton High School, where she was a drum majorette for six years. She also graduated from the Wayne University of Cosmetology in Fort Wayne.

Survivors include one daughter, Rhonetta L. (Randy) Alcorn, Logansport; son, Robert O. Rouch, Logansport; eight grandchildren, Jean Anne Mills, Logansport, Tara (Aram) Batchelor, Logansport, Heather (Ray) Lincoln, Logansport, Leslie Rouch, Florida, Chad (Stacy) Lowry, Bloomfield, Robyn Rouch, Logansport, Randy Alcorn II, Calif., and Megan Alcorn, Logansport; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Loring McKenzie.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fulton Baptist Temple Church with the Rev. Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery near Fulton.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to Fulton Baptist Temple Church or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
