Raymond L. Nitzschke, 63, Walton, passed away at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, in his residence.
Born in Logansport on June 26, 1949, he was the son of Virgil and Edna Nickelson Nitzschke. His mother survives, residing in Logansport.
On July 9, 1983, in Logansport, he was married to Mary Lou Gaines, who preceded him in death on Aug. 27, 2009.
Raymond had been the custodian at Trelleborg. He was a full-benefit member of the Logansport Eagles. He enjoyed trapshooting, fishing, camping, NASCAR, the Colts and Notre Dame sports, and his dog, Charlie.
Also surviving are daughters, Jenny (Jeff) Bell, Walton, and Talitha Baker, Lafayette; sons, John Albright, Dennis Albright, and Edward (Tammy) Schoonover, all of Logansport; brother, Dave Nitzschke, Logansport; sister, Linda (Carl) Gibbs, Logansport; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nephew, David (Tonya) Gibbs, Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Delbert Nitzschke.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Kroeger Funeral Home. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Lucerne. The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Kroeger Funeral Home.
Kroeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
