Many properties need attention
About the letter from Madella Gellinger (Pharos-Tribune, July 11): Her words ring true for the town of Logansport and many other towns where I’m sure that a lot of properties are probably owned by landlords that don’t even live locally and renters that don’t care either.
That seems to be the thing these days. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it, or if it is just livable, it’s OK. As long as the money changes hands, nothing matters.
I have driven in most alleys throughout town and to much amazement the backside of properties is worse than the fronts.

Logan all-stars make city proud
The Logansport 11-year-old all-stars took second place in the state championship in South Bend on July 19.
Logansport should be very proud of these young men. They practiced and worked very hard to get there. They showed true sportsmanship and team work in every game they played. I am very proud of the coaches, players, and all the parents who took their time to travel to South Bend every day to support these fine young men.
Way to go all-stars and best of luck in the Ohio Valley Tournament starting July 29.
All are welcome to come to the Logansport Little League Park and show your support.
A proud grandmother.
