Another way to crack down
On the news, you hear that illegals have crossed our borders. For some reason they have selected to come here to Logansport? I guess they are being employed or they would not move here. The local newspaper on the front page read “Talking Gangs” (Pharos-Tribune, June 13). In the article, it claimed there are six gangs, many of which are ethnic based. I think I know which minority national group they must be talking about.
I think if the pressure was put on the government officials in this town to start making the federal government take a stand and start deporting this certain illegal minority national group, the gangs would not be gone, but they sure would lose some members as well as us saving some U.S. tax dollars.
Also, in fear of being deported they might move to some other city and then that would become that city’s problem and no longer ours. Plus there also would be a few thousand jobs open up that the unemployed people of this city could have in tough times!
A sheriff in Texas set up a tent city and makes the captured illegals stay in the tents and feeds them PB&Js; as they are dressed in pink jump suits. The townspeople love him, but the federal government seems to be bothered by it. Now the immigration department has had to listen to him and are now deporting the illegal minority national group back to their country from his town. The sheriff said, they will no longer plant their seeds in my town and if they do cross the border again, I can bet you they stay away from this town. That would be great if this was my town government’s outlook.
I see time after time in the police reports in the paper of people who are pulled over and have never been registered to drive. I guess this is not a sign that they are here illegally? Are they just given a ticket and drive on down the road? They should be given the pink jumpsuits and handed over to the immigration department and deported.
