Flower donation much appreciated
Kudos to Peggy Berry and Warner’s Greenhouse for the donation of gladioli to a sixth-grade science class at Pioneer Elementary. With the limited resources available to public schools today, it was a wonderful way for the students to have a hands-on experience studying the parts of the flowers instead of just reading about it in a book.

Animal shelter needs support
Some of the people of Logansport and Cass County are selfish and self centered. We are in need of a new animal shelter. There are more than 20 construction, electricians and plumbers, and four companies that sell lumber and supplies. Logansport is receiving money for beautification, bike/walking trails, etc. What about the humane society? It is not your problem? Would you say that if your pet was missing or hurt. You don’t have a pet? What about a family member, child or grandchild? Do you still feel the same way?
Please donate your time, supplies or a cash donation. Anything will help. They do not just pick up strays. They help hurt and abused animals, too. Please think and help all you can. It is tax deductible. Let’s make this happen. Animals have feelings, too.
