Police blotter

Thursday

10:42 a.m. — Criminal mischief. Someone reportedly broke a window on a vehicle in the 1800 block of East Broadway. Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

11:23 a.m. — Criminal mischief. Someone reportedly cut through a screen door with a box cutter in the 100 block of 16th Street. Logansport Police Department.

11:31 a.m. — Theft. Someone reportedly stole tools in the 100 block of Court Park. CCSD.

12:53 p.m. — Property-damage wreck. Someone reportedly broke a mirror off of a car in the 3400 block of Lindsay Drive. CCSD.

3:34 p.m. — Theft. Someone reportedly stole a Social Security card and was using it for employment purposes at the Mi Camina Real restaurant. LPD.

4:40 p.m. — Arrest. Estevan Portio-Alvarado, 27, Logansport, was arrested for the distribution of cocaine. CCSD.

6:32 p.m. — Burglary. Someone reportedly broke into a home through a bedroom window and took a cell phone and change from desk on Frederick Street. LPD.

8:58 p.m. — Property-damage accident. Michelle Vasquez, 20, Logansport, reported that two children riding bicycles were struck by a vehicle in the 500 block of Fitch Street. The children claimed to be uninjured and left the scene. CCSD.

10:02 p.m. — Theft. Someone reportedly stole three Nintendo DS systems and an MP3 player from a home in the 1400 block of North Street. LPD.

10:03 p.m. — Property-damage accident. Someone reportedly backed into the van of Candace G. Parmeter, 62, Logansport, in the 3400 block of East Market Street and fled the scene. CCSD.

10:44 p.m. — Criminal mischief. Someone reported that their truck had been spray painted either in the Wal-Mart parking lot or at Cass County 4-H fairgrounds. CCSD.

Thursday

12:00 p.m. — Stand-by at Cass County 4-H fairgrounds, 2281 E. 125 North.

1:01 p.m. — Assist EMS, 2211 S. Penn St.

2:13 p.m. — Investigation at Cole Hardwood, 1611 W. Market St.

2:19 p.m. — Smoke alarm malfunction, 203 E. Point Lane.

2:22 p.m. — Alarm malfunction caused by lightning, 1701 Smith St.

2:41 p.m. — Tree fallen through the roof of a home. 217 W. Roselawn Ave.

2:52 p.m. — House filled with smoke from burning furnace, 914 20th St.

3:39 p.m. — Alarm malfunction, 801 N. Sixth St.

4:13 p.m. — Assist EMS, 414 12th St.

5:00 p.m. — Auto extraction demonstration at Cass County 4-H fairgrounds, 2281 E. 125 North.

6:34 p.m. — Hot smell was reported, 902 Helm St. Nothing found.
