Police blotter


— Tuesday

8:39 a.m. — Personal-injury accident, U.S. 35 and Humphrey Street. A vehicle driven by Randy L. Kuhn, 56, Logansport, attempted to cross the median and did not see the vehicle driven by Jesse C. Wallace, 19, Lucerne, who was eastbound on U.S. 35. Wallace’s vehicle slid sideways and came to rest on its side. Wallace suffered minor bleeding to his elbow and lower arm. Logansport Police Department.

Wednesday

5 a.m. — Property damage. Someone reportedly sideswiped a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Erie Avenue. LPD.

8:43 a.m. — Theft. Someone reportedly stole a purse and a GPS unit from a vehicle parked in the 1800 block of Smith Street. LPD.

9:54 a.m. — Arrest. Erick Armando Villasenova, 21, Walton, was arrested on a charge of operator never licensed. Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

11:49 a.m. — Arrest. Shawnte Tony Jones, 29, Logansport, was arrested on an out of county warrant. CCSD.

Thursday

3:32 a.m. — Criminal mischief. Someone reportedly spray-painted a vehicle parked in the 1400 block of 17th Street. LPD.

6:27 a.m. — Assist EMS, 536 Bates.

6:39 a.m. — Assist EMS, 316 Cole.

8:40 a.m. — Mobile home fire, 3388 W. Delaware Road.

Noon — Brush fire, 1400 N. Ind. 25.

2:32 p.m. — Investigate hot smell, 414 W. Melbourne Ave. Short circuit causing breaker to trip.

4 p.m. — Assist EMS, 429 E. Market St.

7:43 p.m. — Fire alarm, 1 Berry Lane. Activated due to water leaking on a detector.

7:51 p.m. — Report of lightning strike and partial power loss to structure, 212 E. Roselawn. Nothing found. Investigation only.

9:26 p.m. — Investigate natural gas odor, 1500 block of North Street. NIPSCO called on scene.
