Man arrested at park for possession of meth

GALVESTON — When police served an outstanding arrest warrant on a Galveston man Friday, they reportedly found methamphetamine and smoking paraphernalia.

At 7:45 p.m., the Cass County Sheriff’s Department located Salvatore C. Moore, 37, Galveston, at the Galveston Little League Park. He was arrested on warrant charges of domestic battery, battery, theft and disorderly conduct.

As police searched Moore, they reportedly found meth and a glass pipe used to smoke meth in his back pocket.

Moore was lodged in the Cass County Jail on the outstanding warrant and possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. Police said Moore was charged with a Class B felony for being at the park with drugs in his possession.

Moore was released from jail Saturday after posting a $30,000 surety bond.
