WINAMAC — A Starke County man stands accused in the theft of farm tractors reported stolen earlier this month in Pulaski County.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department recovered the stolen equipment belonging to Floyd A. Podell and Donald Linback on Thursday.
Podell reported the theft of an International Farmall Super C and Allis Chalmers WE45 along with some other items on July 13, while Linback reported an International Farmall Super C and other items missing three days later.
An investigation conducted by Detective Dave Walters revealed Terry W. Pletka of Knox was allegedly linked to the crime.
Pletka, who is an inmate at the Pulaski County Jail stemming from his July 15 arrest for possession of stolen scrap metal, allegedly admitted to the thefts during an interview with Walters, a news release from the Sheriff’s Department said.
An investigation is continuing.
