A Logansport man was arrested and woman was hospitalized following a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning.
The accident occurred at 2:13 a.m. at the intersection of 650N and 600E. Paul Hunt IV, 23, was driving east bound on 650N when he disregarded a stop sign at the “T” intersection and struck a tree head on, according to a news release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.
Stacy Record, a passenger in Hunt’s vehicle, sustained head injuries as a result of the crash and was flown by helicopter to Fort Wayne Parkview Hospital, according to the release. She was listed in critical condition as of Saturday night.
Hunt was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated resulting in serious bodily injury, a class C felony.
The Cass County Medics and Twelve Mile Fire Department assisted at the scene.
