Police blotter, Nov. 9, 2009

Friday

4:25 p.m. — Personal-injury accident, Spear and 17th streets. Vehicles driven by Julie R. Hallam, 31, Logansport, and Jose R. Melgar, 33, Logansport, collided. A passenger in Melgar’s vehicle, 6-year-old Kevin J. Melgar, complained of head pain. Logansport Police Department.

Saturday

10:19 a.m. — Theft. Someone reportedly stole merchandise from inside the McClure Gas Station, 436 Michigan Ave. LPD.

4:35 p.m. — Property-damage accident, George Street near Stadium Drive. A vehicle driven by Guana Ortiz, 33, Logansport, struck two parked vehicles. LPD.

5:47 p.m. — Arrest. Marcos Madrigal, 22, Logansport, was arrested on charges of failure to appear and animal cruelty. LPD.

Sunday

12:08 a.m. — Arrest. Patrick Raymond Woodruff, 31, Logansport, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication. LPD.

2:51 a.m. — Arrest. Steven Lee Wilson, 22, Logansport, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication. LPD.

3:33 a.m. — Arrest. Lana Lee Richards, 37, Lafayette, was arrested on charges of resisting law enforcement and public intoxication. Galveston Police Department.

10:57 a.m. — Property-damage accident, High Street and Mall Road. Vehicles driven by Sarita S. Hoehler, 61, Logansport, and Bernadine A. Roberts, 67, Logansport, collided. LPD.

3:54 p.m. — Arrest. Jesus Hipolito Martinez-Lopez, 30, Logansport, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication. LPD.

4:40 p.m. — Assist at property-damage accident, 2626 George St.

6:26 p.m. — Leaf fire in county, 801 Stanley St. Controlled burn.

6:40 p.m. — Strong odor of anhydrous detected in the 1900 block of North 50E. Discovered pesticides recently sprayed.

8:57 p.m. — Smoke from leaves inside house, 1211 Woodlawn Ave.

9:43 p.m. — Sprinkler head going off, 101 Industrial Blvd. Could not find cause. System shut down.

Sunday

9:29 a.m. — Fire alarm activated at Cass County Family Y, 905 E. Broadway. System malfunction. Nothing found.

12:33 p.m. — Assist EMS, 631 Race St.
