McMillen-Patz

Brooke Marie McMillen and Eric Spencer Patz were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Indianapolis. Father Bob Sims and Father Donald Gross officiated at the ceremony.

A wedding reception was held at the Ritz Charles, Carmel.

The bride is the daughter of John and Clara McMillen, Logansport.

Grandparents are Esther Ann McMillen and Claribel McIntire, both of Logansport.

The groom is the son of Terry and Jill Patz, Evansville, and the grandson of Lorna Connelly, Evansville.

Cara Cioni, Chicago, was the maid of honor. Kathryn Foreman, Noblesville, was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Diana Madison, Westfield; Sabrina McMillen, sister-in-law of the bride, Carmel; Melissa Patz, sister of the groom, St. Louis, Mo.; Julia Schenk, Indianapolis; and Kenedy Callaway, cousin and godchild of the bride, Logansport.

Whitney Nester, Indianapolis, was the flower girl.

Kyle Patz, brother of the groom, Indianapolis, was the best man. The groomsmen included Matt Federle, Dallas, Texas; Jeremy Potter, Jasper; Brock McMillen, brother of the bride, Carmel; Lucas Martin and Jason Brown, both of Indianapolis; and Cole Callaway, cousin of the bride, Logansport.

Luke Nester and Cameron Nester, both of Indianapolis, were the ring bearers.

Julianna Callaway, aunt and godmother of the bride, Logansport, and Sarah Spivey, cousin of the groom, Dallas, Texas, were the readers.

Joyce Holland, aunt of the bride, Columbia, Mo., recited the prayer.

Presentation of the gifts were by Julianna Callaway; Donald McIntire, uncle and godfather of the bride, Indianapolis; Judy Spivey, aunt of the groom, Dallas, Texas; and Kerry Connelly, uncle and godfather of the groom, Savannah, Ga.

Greeters were Andrea Burns, cousin of the bride, Columbia, Mo., and Lynne Fischer, aunt of the groom, Lowell.

The Eucharist Ministers were Jim and Ann Marie Anton, cousins of the bride, Katy, Texas.

Music for the wedding was provided by pianist, Ceila Prillo, Indianapolis; violinist, Laura Barcelo, Indianapolis; and Heather Nacke, cantor, Logansport.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Logansport High School, and a 2005 graduate of Butler University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. She also is a 2007 graduate of Indiana University, earning a master’s degree in philosophy with a concentration in bioethics. She is employed as the program director of clinical research at the Fairbanks Institute.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of William Henry Harrison High School and a 2004 and 2006 graduate of University of Indianapolis, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in business administration. He is employed as a business development representative at Miller Consulting Group Inc.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia and reside in Indianapolis.
