Behind the hot shooting hand of Jayson Higgins, the dominating play of Antonio Penny and the physical inside play of the post players, Logansport’s boys basketball team put together perhaps its best outing thus far this season in turning away the Marion Giants 72-49 Friday night at the Berry Bowl.
The Berries (7-5, 1-1 North Central Conference) jumped on the Giants (6-8, 0-2) early and never let up to collect the conference win.
Higgins led the way for the Berries with 28 points while Penny threatened a triple-double with 24 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.
Pick up Sunday’s Pharos-Tribune for complete coverage of the game.
