Logan girls win at Marion, 60-30

MARION — After a rigorous holiday schedule, it appears Logansport’s girls basketball team has turned the corner and is gathering momentum towards home stretch of the season.

The Class 4A No. 5 Berries stomped Marion 60-30 Friday night to take a big step towards another North Central Conference championship.

The Berries improved to 16-1 and 5-0 in the NCC with the win. They host Richmond next Friday night for a chance of winning at least a share of the conference crown. They have now won 12 NCC games in a row after running the table last year.

Whitney Jennings had 22 points and eight assists in the win. She was 13 of 16 from the foul line for the game.

Rachel Jennings added 14 points, three assists, three rebounds and two steals. She was 2 of 5 from 3-point range. Nakeya Penny had 10 points, four rebounds and two steals. Madyson Price had eight points and six boards. Kiley Victor had four points, nine rebounds and four steals.
